Kate Yau earned her honors degree in fashion and textiles design from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2023, she chooses to pursue this program due to her deep passion for fashion design and aspiration to enter the industry. During the study duration, the experiences she has been through also brought her to develop different styles in Yau’s design and facilitate self-discovery. She would say that design is an exploration of life itself, and her design styles and preferences continually evolve as she gains more exposure and experiences. For Yau, fashion design serves as a medium to convey her thoughts and tell her story.
