Introduction
AIMS
By organising the Contest and showcasing knitwear designs in fashion shows and exhibitions in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), we aim to:
- Enhance the recognition of creative knitwear design
- Attract young talents to join the knitwear industry
- Promote the development of the knitwear industry in GBA
ENTRIES REQUIREMENTS
Submitted Entry MUST Fulfil ALL the below criteria:
- The entry should Include design of ONLY EIGHT (8) sets of Knitwear Outfits
- Eash set of outfits must have at least 70% of range being knitting
- A complete set of design sketches should consist of EIGHT (8) pages of design sketches with production drawings (each page shows one set of outfits)
- All design sketches must be in A3 size and full colour
- Design sketches could be prepared by hand drawing or with the aid of computer design apps/software such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator or others
- Design Description in WORD format which includes the followings:
- Theme and source of inspiration for your design collection
- Material selection, number of needles, weave structure, usage of colours
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
The finalists’ design collections will be evaluated by the Judging Panel in the following four areas:
- Overall Design Appearance
- Creativity
- Knitting Technology Application
- Market Value
ELIGIBILITY
Young designers who fulfil ALL the below criteria are eligible to enrol he Contest:
- Place of residence must be Hong Kong, Macau or other cities in the Greater Bay Area
- Aged 18 to 35 (as of the entry deadline)
- Students who are currently studying programmes related to fashion design or with knitwear design experience are preferrable
10 FINALISTS
The 10 Finalists voted by the Judging Panel will:
- Work with knitwear manufacturers and yarn suppliers to produce knitwear collections
- Showcase design collections during fashion shows or exhibitions at international fashion events in Hong Kong and Shenzhen
- Have opportunities to promote and sell own knitwear designs at online and offline sales platform

Cash Prize HK$50,000 + Study Trip to Seoul
- 1st Runner-up of “Young Knitwear Designers’ Contest 2025”
Cash Prize HK$20,000 + Study Trip to Seoul
- 2nd Runner-up of “Young Knitwear Designers’ Contest 2025”
Cash Prize HK$10,000 + Study Trip to Seoul
